From gear reviews to ideal trip itineraries for family backpacking in National Parks, Michael Lanza is a true expert about outdoor experiences and my go to blog when researching upcoming trips with my own family. Not only are Brittany and Scott Meyers the parents of three young daughters, they blog about their adventures at sea on their sailboat, Asante at Windtraveler. Sailing together since 2010, this amazing family lives a life less ordinary on their boat full time. While their unconventional lifestyle would be noteworthy in any circumstance, their story is all the more inspiring because they are living in such an unusual and exciting way while parenting 3 adorable little girls. And it’s also easy to love the beautiful pictures of their precious daughters and the sea side locales they visit.
Photo From Mr. and Mrs. Adventure
Mr. and Mrs. Adventure, aka Drew and Brittany, travel the country in their cozy Sprinter Van, visiting amazing locations and blogging all about it at Mr. and Mrs. Adventure. Since this pretty much seems like my dream life, I especially love reading their updates. I also really enjoy their posts as they often write about hiking scenic mountains and visiting National Parks and other wilderness areas which I am always interested in learning about. They also write about the more practical implications of their life in a van, including how they budget for travel, and even post fun videos which shows what it is really like to travel in their small space together for such an extended period. Dave and I have been planning this for ourselves when the kids head to college so I love reading about their experiences! Someday…

Written by the Averett family, Bring the Kids highlights the travels this amazing family does in the United States and all over the world with a focus on outdoor adventures and how they strengthen family relationships. True that! From multi day whitewater rafting trips to kids stand up paddle boarding, the Averetts have done it and written about it on their blog, often with fun videos. This family shows that there are still tons of exciting and adventurous experiences you can take part in, even after kids!
