Adventure Van Travels – Mowich Lake

Once again I am behind in posting because it has been hard to find coverage. I will catch up over the next few days!

Maya and I loved our time in Mowich Lake on the east side of Mt. Rainier. It is not only picturesque, it is quiet and serene. Once she fully recovered, we spent one day hiking to Spray Falls and then Spray Park, a beautiful trail. And we finally saw the top of Mt. Rainier! The sun was out all day for our hike, which was such a blessing. We just took it easy and enjoyed ourselves. adventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanWhen we got back to the van, we chatted for a bit with other campers, and Maya made a friend of a tourist from Chinese. An older lady, her family had left her at a picnic table while they hiked. Maya gave her a blanket since it was cold and they communicated the best they could. Her family was very thankful when they returned and we all exchanged email addresses.Maya has never met a stranger!adventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure van The next morning, we hiked to Ipsut Pass to meet Dave and everyone else. They LOVED their hike! One of them will write about it later. adventure vanOnce they were loaded up, we hit the road. Olympic National Park was next on the itinerary!adventure van
