Skiing Powder Mountain Utah

Skiing Powder Mountain

Sophie and Dave ditched a few days of school and work last week to head out to Utah and had a blast skiing Powder Mountain. With 4 kids, time alone with each one is a precious commodity and with Sophie heading off to college next year and Naomi right behind her, we’ve been especially hoarding our time together. I’ve posted many times about giving experiences instead of material gifts for holidays and special events. (To read more about this tradition, click here.) This year, it was Dave’s turn to take Sophie on an adventure and she picked skiing Powder Mountain for where she wanted to go. This tradition is one of my very favorites and I wouldn’t trade the memories I’ve made on these trips for anything.

Since they both love to ski, Dave and Sophie decided to head out to Powder Mountain, Utah in Eden to hit the slopes. Only 55 miles north of Salt Lake City, Powder Mountain is easy to get to. Booking their flights through Frontier Airlines and their rental car through Hotwire made for a fairly economical trip too. Powder Mountain, Utah is not only beautiful with ideal family skiing slopes, they could also visit Dave’s aunt and uncle at their amazing home in nearby Wolf Creek Resort. They took advantage of the discounted lift ticket and rental package and and had an unforgettable time skiing Powder Mountain both at night and during the day. Powder Mountain offers numerous trails of various difficulty so there is something for everyone. You can check out the trail map here. For newbies, private and group lessons are offered and they even offer a first time ski/snowboarder program which includes rentals, lift passes and three hours of instruction. Skiing Powder Mountain UtahSkiing Powder Mountain UtahSkiing Powder Mountain UtahSkiing Powder Mountain Skiing Powder Mountain Utah

They had so much fun skiing Powder Mountain and have been talking about it nonstop since. It is on my 2016 to-do list to learn to ski so that I can go on adventures as beautiful and fun as this!

Know of other family friendly skiing destinations? I’d love to hear about them!
