After leaving the Walmart in Salmon Arm, we headed through the mountains of British Columbia. What a beautiful part of the world! We drove through Mt. Revelstoke, Glacier and Yoho National Parks, taking short hikes in each. It was a stormy afternoon when we headed north on the Icefields Parkway to Jasper National Park. But the views were amazing! This is a GORGEOUS drive. And we were thrilled when we arrived at Whistler Campground. Our site is large, firewood is delivered right to us, and there are SHOWERS!! I wish U.S. National Parks campgrounds did this! And we have a great view of Whistler Peak and the Jasper Gondola, which we plan to hike up tomorrow. Hoping the weather cooperates!

Wow! We live in the Colorado Rockies, similar wild beauty. Funny thing is it took us wandering into the Great Sand Dunes National Park to realize the ‘rockies” stretch from Canada to Mexico not just in our backyard! Astounding beauty from north to south. Thanks for this post. BC has been on my list for a long time!
The size of the Rockies range is truly amazing! We are living seeing the Canadian mountains.
