Waking up in the beach was lovely, though a bit chilly. We ate a quick breakfast and I hiked the two miles to Fern Canyon on the beautiful Coastal Trail. The short Fern Canyon hike was straight out of a fairy tale. Green, lush ferns line the canyon walls as far as the eye can see. So unbelievably beautiful and alive.
We then headed south to beautiful Humboldt Redwoods State Park to take a look at the tallest trees on earth which I will write about tomorrow because I’ve run out of time and the kids are hungry! Happy Travels!
