Adventure Van Travels – Camping on the Beach at Gold Bluffs Beach State Park

We left Lassen Volcanic with tired legs and full hearts and headed north to Redwood National Park. But first we made a stop at the Lassen Volcanic visitor center to earn a free bandana for completing at least 3 hikes in the park. I love free stuff! We sure will miss you Lassen Volcanic! adventure vanadventure vanWe made our way north and arrived at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in the late afternoon to camp at Gold Bluffs Beach right on the Pacific. This is an AMAZING campground. The sunset was gorgeous and we loved watching the sea lions feeding in the surf. Falling asleep to the sounds of waves crashing is something I’ll never forget.adventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanadventure vanTomorrow we plan to hike Fern Canyon here in the park and then we are heading south (a mistake in itinerary planning!) to Humboldt Redwoods State Park to see the tallest trees on earth.
